Check writing without leaving the tab

Select text on any page, or open a Google Doc, and the extension scores it right there. Results appear in a small panel with the same sentence highlights as the full app.

Free on every plan. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc.

Set up in 4 steps

Install once, then scan from any tab with a right-click.

  1. Step 1: Install the extension

Add it from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your toolbar so it's one click away.

  2. Step 2: Sign in

Click the Winston AI icon and sign in. Scans use your account's credits, same as the app.

  3. Step 3: Select and scan

Highlight text and choose Scan with Winston AI from the right-click menu, or open the panel to scan the whole page.

  4. Step 4: Open the full report

Every scan is saved to your dashboard, where you can share it or export a PDF.

What you get

Built for reading in the browser, with the full report a click away.

  • Highlights in place

Flagged sentences are marked on the page itself, so you can see what moved the score.

  • Whole Google Docs

Scan an entire doc from the side panel, even when it's too long to select.

  • Right-click to scan

Select text, right-click, done. No copying into another tab.

  • Nothing read in the background

The extension only sees text you choose to scan. It never reads pages on its own.

  • Saved to your dashboard

Come back to any scan later, or share the report with a colleague.

  • 14 languages

Detects the language automatically, the same as the app.
